No Duplicate Content Penalty From Google
Everyday I here someone talking about duplicate content and “the penalty”. Well for those that know, there is no “penalty” for duplicate content. There are pena;ties for “spam” sites and that is often where the confusion lies. Someone creates a spam blog with useless scraped duplicated conten and their site gets banned and they blame it on the duplicate content, not the fact that they created a Splog to try and game the system.
We have provided plenty of proof that using content that is also available elsewhere can still rank just as well and sometimes even higher if done properly. If you need additional proof just let us know and we will post it. But for starters, here is a video straight from GOOGLE that explains most of it.
