What’s Your Biggest Pet Peeve About The Internet Marketing Scene?

I’m not in a bad mood today, honestly, but I was thinking about how there are some things that really annoy me about Internet Marketing, and the marketing tactics on the internet. I can’t wait for you to chime in, but I’ll go ahead and go first since I’ve already been thinking about it. Here are some of my pet peeves in IM:
- Emails from marketers telling me they’re going to post to their blog tomorrow. I don’t have time to waste reading emails telling me to watch for tomorrow’s email. Oh, I know why they do it… they’re trying to build anticipation. Not only does it waste my time, it makes me feel like a bit like a lab rat in an experiment.
- Okay, this makes me more than annoyed – finding my articles on a Made-For-AdSense site with the links removed. Or they’ve spun my article so it makes no sense and taken out the links. Enough on that, I can feel my blood pressure going up.
- I also get peeved when I get email after email from all the gurus when a big launch by one of their friends is happening. I know these marketers sometimes give some great information, that’s why I remain on their lists, but nowadays I only hear from them when they want to promote a big (expensive) launch. And have you ever noticed that emails are all the same, yet it says personal?
- And my biggest winner: receiving emails that say “I have a free download for my special subscribers inside”. Then you open the email, follow the link and you end up at an opt-in (squeeze) page. WTF?? I though I was already on your list and this was a free bonus? Nothing more than another pitch. Ahhhhhhhhhhh!
So, now it is your turn. Tell us what your biggest pet peeves are in this wonderful world of Internet Marketing?

Frankly, your blog scares me half to death! I was looking for something that could tell me how in blazes I could put together a whole system like everyone seems to have, but it’s not that easy…and I’m supposed to be smart!
Getting unconfused is my most difficult task daily…(did I remember to feed the dog?)
Why does a well made anything seem to take so much knowledge I don’t have yet?
Well, it’s not supposed to be easy. It is a business, and requires certain skills and dedication. Once you have the system up and running though, it gets better.
And if you can’t create a system of your own, there are plenty available at different price points to help you get started. Or if you have the system, just not the time to implement it, there are plenty of folks to outsource the workload to.
